I just bought a package of wonton wrappers. What are your favourite recipes/ideas that use these wrappers? The package I bought has a lot of wrappers, and I am the only one eating them, so I need lots of ideas! :)

You must've been reading my mind. I was going to ask the same question earlier so I searched "wonton" and it came up with some good posts. Let us know if you try something really good!

Go to Emilybites.com , she makes a lot of recipes with them. As for me, my favorite is to make steamed wontons or fill them like ravioli - butternutsquash raviolis are great.

I just went out myself and got wonton wrappers after i saw Hungry Girl's crab ragoons. I'm also looking into using it for the second recipe on this page too.

I use them to make mini shredded chicken tacos. I got the idea from Hungry Girl's site.

I cook 1 chicken breast and then shred it. Then I season it with taco seasoning and let it simmer for a few minutes. While that's simmering, you take your wonton wrappers and drape them on the sides of a deep cake pan. Make sure to spray the inside and outside of pan so they won't stick. Preheat oven to 400 and the bake the wrappers for 3-4 minutes. They don't need to be crispy, just enough so they will form a 'shell'.

Then I take the shredded chicken and stir 1/3 cup of weight watcher's mexican cheese in to it. Then I stuff the wonton wrappers with the mixture. Put them on a baking sheet and spray the tops with some cooking spray. Bake for about 5 minutes.

    This makes 10 mini tacos.

I agree with Emiliy's Bites, and look at other things there too

I made mini wonton lasagnas several days ago. Came out great, but a bit more ooey-gooey than I expected. Tonight I made mini wonton quiche. Helpful hint: grease the muffin pan! LOL The lasagnas came out so easily (most cups were sprayed, but one or two weren't and they all came out fine). Soooo, I hardly used any cooking spray at all tonight, and I ended up having to eat them directly out of the muffin tray. They were very good anyway though!
