Any suggestions for healthy foods to break a water fast with that won't leave me feeling bloated or sick?

Fuits and veggies, lean protein. Just about the same stuff I eat every day! If it normally doesn't leave you feeling bloated, why would it start now?
  • I water fast for 24 hours once a week, and its easiest to break with fruit and veggies very high in water to avoid the stomach cramps if you aren't used to this type of fast. Fish and turkey (if you eat them) are good to start with too. Nothing heavy or processed for the first meal is usually best :)

I'd start with something similar as if you had the stomach flu. Bananas. Broth with rice. Toast. Nothing terribly acidic or acid-forming, keep it alkaline. You don't want your blood sugar to spike, so go slow.

Um, your profile says you won't encourage EDs and low calorie eating, but you're posting that you've just been on a water fast? Riiiiiiight.

You've got a right to be cynical. In any case, it's called a relapse. Doesn't mean I'm encouraging others, more like discouraging my friends to follow in my steps... And there's a big part of me that simply can't control it. I posted with the intention of finding a healthy way out of this particular relapse. Thanks for your input though.
