How accurate...

..is this thing? After entering the calories eaten and exercises, I should have weighed 115lbs by now. That's what I keep being told! But no, my fat *kitten* is still at 145! IT WON'T GO AWAY!!!! Does your estimated weight time frame tell you the same thing??? Am I doing something wrong? I am eating roughly 1500-1800 calories a day, and my fitbit is saying I am burning 2595.

Well, mine says by May 3, I'll be at goal. So, I'll let you know then.0

I had a bodybugg previously and it told me the same thing pretty much for calories burnt. But I have weighed the same for 9 months now. Dispite the iphone app telling me that I should be weighing 115lb.0

I would worry more about how accurate the fitbit is. You're supposed to eat back your exercise calories, so if you burn 2595/day, you should be eating that back in food as well.0

I eat about 1500-1600 cal a day. I have lost about a lb/week on average. MFP told me if I ate like yesterday I'd be at 157. something in 5 weeks and being 161.2 this morning that fits to about lb/week.
It's working for me.
One last thought, if your clothes are fitting better and you're losing inches I say screw the scale!0 -
It's only accurate if everyday where exactly the same. Don't put too much faith in that prediction. Fitbits i imagine are pretty accurate. The body responds differently if you eat too little just like if you eat too much. You have to find that tricky number deficit. Just keep at it and you'll see change.0

our bodies dont work to the exact equations. which is annoying. but. i wouldnt be too worried about how many calories are going out on the fit bit. you just need to make sure youre doing activity which is done by having to go out of your way to do it. going to the gym, doing a work out vid going for a run for example. eat as clean as you can and to a sufficient intake for your body size. im a PT and the best advice i have ever been given is that if a person is only exercising for weightloss it will never work. exercise for enjoyment. im sure this isnt you. but from where im sat thats the best advice i can give!!!! (lets be honest people have been loosing weight for years and years, way before we counted calories or had hrm or fitbits).0

don't put any faith in that number.. mine has been saying i'd be 127 by now and i'm still stuck at 132.2 for 3 months....0

I work on a dairy farm so I am constantly moving and running. So exercising is not the problem here. But it is so disconcerting to read that in 5 weeks I 'may' weigh close to my ideal weight, and then 9 months later I am nowhere near it.0

dont read it. maybe you need to kick everything up a notch, maybe 30mins extra exercise! it sounds like a platu if its been 9months, something needs to just have a little change. body shock

To be blunt, no one can give you fully accurate advice on how to get that number moving unless you open up your diary. Otherwise, we are just going off of guesses.0

I don't know how to do that...0
