I'm watching what I eat and exercising. That is the safe and sure route.
I'm also taking L-carnitine...mostly for cheese and wiggles. As far as i can tell it can't hurt..might help.0 -
Natural all the way. I've also heard of people getting presciptions for drugs like Adderall and Ritalin to try and lose weight, which I think is CRAZY!!0

I just want to emphasize that losing weight the natural, healthy way may not take as much longer as you think. I know the idea of a quick fix is so tempting. So yes, go natural and be patient. But if you make some serious diet changes and regular exercise, you may be surprised at the great results you will have. It will not take forever if you are fairly consistent. Good luck0

i've started a women's one aday but thats it. just watching what (or how much i eat) and have WAY upped my water intake and started walking with my neighbor and am going to do a 200 sit up challenge starting tomorrow. so i hope i'm on the right track
I think you will do great.
why a 200 situp challenge?

so you are doing it for core strength rather than trying to lose belly fat. that's great0 -
I just started body by vi, but before now i've also been using this time to teach myself about portion control, managing my carbs, and making sure that I am counting my calories. Teaching me this stuff first was necessary for me. now that i'm better about it (albeit not perfect) I feel more comfortable using body by vi to help me along the journey.
What ever you chose to do, i would suggest a multi-vitamin just to make sure you get your micro-nutrients since almost all people are deficient in some form or another.0 -
I too have had success with body by vi. but the great thing is that its not a liquid diet. The shake is 250 calories all in, and if I dont want to do it some days, then I substitute yogurt/fruit/salad/etc; or something larger and increase my exercise. calories in vs. calories out... good luck.0

I drink Slimfast high protein a lot. I love them and dont do the "diet" but use them when i need quick food. I also take a dietetic( that looks wrong) I retain water like crazy due to getting a hysterectomy. I agree in general natural is better0

well all the situps inthe world will not get rid of belly fat. that is all diet. you can build muscle there but the only way you will ever lose belly fat is by eating at a deficit0 -

true but muscle burns more calories during the day(right?).. and i can bet I'm going to sweat my buns off doing it0 -
I think people need to learn to rely on themselves instead of placing all their hopes in a pill or supplement. People have been losing weight successfully without them for EVER.. so why do we think we need them? Marketing.. Empty promises, and fear that we aren't good enough to do it on our own..
well have i got news for you..
YOU ARE GOOD ENOUGH... we are all good enough!! we can do it!! oh yeah!0 -

Having muscle on your frame burns more fat than anything else however if that is your goal you would be better off doing something else like weight lifting (squats, deadlifts, etc). If just being able to do the 200 situps is your goal then go for it.0
