Hello All-

My name is Beth and I am 38 years old...3 years ago I lost 40 pounds with a points based diet plan. 18 months ago I started going back to my old eating habits, under the ridiculous notion that I could "control" it. Well here I am right back where I started! I tried counting points again and found that I didn't care for the new version. I thought about other diet plans but the cost is way over my budget. A friend told me about this site so I have decided to give it my best shot. I am trying to be realistic about my weight loss goals, it didn't come back on overnight, and it certainly isn't going away that fast either. I hope to go back to my "old habits", I really hope this is the start of a healthier me!

    Hi Beth.
I'm trying to stop the yoyo too. I lost 50 pounds in 2001. Gained it back over the next couple years. Have lost and gained it back probably four or five times since then. I'm great at losing weight. It's the keeping it off I'm not so great with. The last couple years I at least managed to narrow it down to a 20ish pound swing, but I'm still hoping to get and stay where I'm happy. I'm new here, haven't even been on here a week yet, but so far I'm loving it. Here is to both of us finding the balance for long term maintenance! *cheers with my water*
