Large Greek Yogurt Tub - Need Recipe Pls :)
I have a large (500g/2cups) tub of greek yogurt that I have to use up soon. Would love to hear your favourite low cal recipes.
I would love to try to make a "cheesecake" out of it too but I cannot find a recipe that would make a whole cake.
TIA!

Last night I mixed 8oz of Greek yogurt with one pack of dry Ranch dip. Been dipping my veggies in it and its delicious.0

This is what I do with my greek yogurt (only the plain kind).
Tonight I'm making chicken enchiladas and the greek yogurt will be mixed with shredded cheese, chicken that is cooking in the crockpot right now with paprika, cumin, minced onions and Mrs. Dash Chicken Grilling Blends (this will be shredded), and a half can of cream of chicken soup...then placed inside La Tortilla Factory Low Carb High Fiber tortillas and baked (extra meat/cream mixture goes on top of the rolled up tortillas). Ends up being around 150 calories per enchilada and 1 is super filling!
I also take plain greek yogurt and mix with 1 scoop of chocolate protein powder and 1 tbsp of peanut butter or PB2. Mix up and eat. Super yummy & full of protein.0 -

12oz greek yogurt, packet of Jello cheesecake ff/ss mix, one cup almond breeze unsweetened vanilla, a little sweetner, I use Stevia, and a couple drops of vanilla. Mix almond drink and pudding up first, then stir all the rest in. Pour into a pie crust, I love the Oreo one... yum!!! Eat it!! Each piece is only around 140 cals with my Dannon Oikos brand plain.:)0

google greek yogurt pancakes. we made some using the recipe on the back of the Chobani vanilla greek yogurt and they were delicious.0

Yum...sounds fabulous!!!0 -
I have made lower calorie cupcakes using greek yogurt. I have also made greek yogurt biscuits that were rather good along with dinner and low calorie. Umm. My favorite use, thus far, for greek yogurt would be just topping with a small drizzle of honey, blueberries and chopped almonds. Thats like dessert! One thing I have been thinking of trying is freezing small easily blendable portions and then blending with frozen fruit to make some sorta smoothie for the summer months coming up!0

I use it to make spinach dip.0

I mix fruit into it and eat it like yogurt.0

Make a cake with it. Just google "yogurt cake" or replace the sour cream or buttermilk in any cake recipe. Yogurt cakes are so good and are not too high in calories.0

Mix a half serving of Greek yogurt with a half serving of fat free cottage cheese. This is the basis for a lot of variations: add a scoop of whey protein powder in your favorite flavor and a little sweetener. Or a good dollop of thawed frozen berries (they're extra juicy that way), tastes like fruit cheese cake.0

I use that stuff for everything! Replace 1/2 (or more) of mayo in tuna/chicken/egg/potato salad. Earlier this week I blended it with equal parts goat cheese, added an egg, and layered this mixture, thin zuchini slices and homemade bolognese sauce to make lasagna.
Eat it with honey.
Stir it into sauces.
Make smoothies with it...
I've used it in casseroles to replace other creamy ingredients.0 -

Check out pillsbury.com, I found a whole section on Greek Yogurt this morning.0

I add my chocolate/banana protein powder with berries. You can use frozen, just mix the yogurt and protein powder and place a couple of berries on top, place back into the refrig and let the berries thaw , then mix. It's awesome!0

Make tzatziki - finely chop at least 500g of fresh cucumbers, add dill (fresh would be ideal, but if you don't have it available, dried works just fine) and salt to taste, mix and enjoy.0

I would just eat it as it is! Also I love it with some Grapenuts stirred in (not sure whether you can get them in US - sort of baked, unsweetened, multigrain cereal granules) Or if you must have sweetness, then just whatever fresh berries you fancy. So good for breakfast.0

my hubby makes "ice cream" with yogurt, frozen fruit if fresh is not in season and a splash or juice. Blend and put in freezer. LOVE it.0

Adding to Annie's Organic Mac and Cheese...
Add in greek yogurt (instead of the milk/butter) and you get a rich, creamy alfredo-like cheese sauce. Mix in some steamed veggies. Quick, easy and delicious!0 -

I like to mix it with frozen fruit (I use Rader farms frozen fruit from Costco). If I'm feeling extravagant I add something crunchy like granola or almonds.
If you have an ice cream maker, you can make really tasty frozen yogurt by just putting yogurt in with Polaners no-sugar preserves.0 -
I mix it with spices such as cumin, coriander, turmeric, paprika, garlic etc. Add some lemon juice and marinate cubed chicken in it. Thread the chicken onto skewers and grill for tasty chicken kebabs. Use any herbs/spices you like and thread some veggies onto the skewers too.0

I like Rachel Ray's "Almost Tandori Chicken"
http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/rachael-ray/almost-tandoori-chicken-recipe/index.html
Alas, it doesn't quite bake right with fat free, need at least the 2%.
For non recipes, I like to add it to protein shakes or in place of sour cream on chili, tacos or other such things.
Adding a bit of jam for a yogurt snack is yummy as well.0
