tighten up loose skin?

I had 2 children and I was left with some loose skin on my stomach. I have some extra weight in this area also. I am planning on an overall weight loss and to tone my body up, especially in my middle. I am wondering what kind of exercises I can do, if any, to help tighten up my belly skin so I can once again have a flat, smooth stomach? Or if there are any other things that can help, like diet or whatever?

I just posted this on another topic. It's about weight loss in general, not specifically post-partum, but I'd think the types would still be applicable. How to Tighten Loose Skin After Weight Loss
As you lose fat and your loose skin begins to appear, the first rule is: don’t panic! Because it is a living organ, your skin will slowly return to a shape that fits your new body. But since that process can take up to two years, here are steps you can take to make your skin tighten more quickly . . . .

I have found that there isn't much that can be done for the loose skin. If it is stretched out and hasn't sprung back already thanks to excellent genes, it probably isn't going to.
I have 4 kids and had some pretty insane weight gains, and for the past 10 years I thought getting down to pre-pregnancy weight would be the ticket to getting my pre-pregnancy body back. Yeah- not so much.I still have the pooch and other loose skin around my belly button, and droopy skin in other places, but I can say that the appearance has minimized as I have lost weight and body fat, which is better than nothing! I can't forsee myself getting a tummy tuck, so I just dress to compress.
