Hi, I was told to try using a diet tea from my Fitness Trainer because of my bowel movements were irregular and uncomfortable because of diet changes, and I have tried it for the recommended 10 day period. I noticed it did help me out for what I needed, but what my question is what are the pros and con's of these types of teas? She has told me that she has been using it on a daily basis and has for years and suggested I do that as well. I didn't find that I had any issues while on it, aside from the first day or two when I had intense bowel cramping which I knew would happen. The tea that I tried I got in the Asian tea section at the local supermarket called Extra Strength Nature SM Tea, it is made by Triple Leaves Brand. The ingredients are Malva Verticellata. If you have heard of this tea or similar ones like Dieters Tea or Ballerina Tea, please give me your thoughts and also if you have tried it. Thank you

I've never heard of diet teas.
If you are having trouble with BM's try all bran bars - or metamucle makes a pretty good cookie - Chocolate or Apple cinnamon flavour that can clear that right up.
Have you been tracking your fibre as one of the macros on tour daily intake?0 -
I havent tracked my fibre, but I take benifibre everyday... I am not a fan of taking bars that are ment as quick snacks because of the sugar content. Thanks for the reply0

I've used "diet teas" for a little while now, and the only draw back I've had is the intense bowel cramping the first day or two. I use Laci Le Beau's Super Dieter's Tea, and it calls for a 6 oz cup each evening an hour before bed. It has Senna and Stevia powerder, as well as powdered Phsylum husk.
I was recomended it by a friend, someone who had no formal education but just personal experience. Now, I know the body cleases itself just fine all by itself, and I wasn't expecting any weightloss, but it was nice to get that extra boost and I did loose 2lbs while drinking it for the recomended ten day period. Defenatly water weight, but motivation is motivation. Now I drink it because it tastes good0 -
I was thinking about trying the Dieter's Green Tea but then after looking into it was afraid that I would become dependant on the Senna (which is a strong laxative) for a regular bowel movement.
A lot of people use this as a natural "cleanse" but it is well documented that if you use this longer than the recommended 10 days then your colon will certainly become dependant on the stimulation for evacuation. In certain cases, when people have used the product for long periods they had colon damage which had to corrected by surgery. Not exactly what I'm looking for...0 -
Thanks... I use it on occasion :-)0
