The weight-loss ads (Sensa, etc.) show up because you're on a weight-loss site.

Even more disturbing is the rotting banana ad entitled something like "5 foods you should never eat." What have I done to deserve that??

I don't know, but I have done it too. I never click on ads, but I was so curious that I clicked on that one. For the life of me, I couldn't find the list of "5 foods."

well I'm pretty sure 1 of the 5 is a large papa john's specialty pizza

I think its all based on what you search for on the internet, based on your webcookies.

The ads are based on what you've viewed online. You like pizza, it shows you pizza ads. :)

Well -- - I have an ad for Sharp Memorial Hospital "Advanced Treatment for Heart Failure"! Sheesh, this goes along with all the SPAM I get from AARP. My husband says it's cause I go to yarn websites (I'm a knitter, so that must mean I'm old and about to have a heart attack, ha)!

Download google chrome and get an ad blocker plugin. I haven't seen an ad on this website for near a year.
  • Mine did show some healthy food, a protein shake ad, and Virgin Mobile. LOL Sorry you get the pizza ads. :(

Mine is sensa, sprint, jillian micheals and random candy...I find it ironic that many grocery stores put the diet fads in the same isle with the candy. Like on one hand continue being a fat *kitten* on the other don't change anything but take our magic pill.

Your computer thinks your name is "Mira! Mira!"

(I think that means "Look! Look!" But my Spanish spelling isn't so great.)
  • Lol, I totally know what you mean. Five seconds after I look at jeans on oldnavy.com, MFP blasts me with tempting ads to buy the jeans.

Even more disturbing is the rotting banana ad entitled something like "5 foods you should never eat." What have I done to deserve that??

Lol I also get that ad and it is disturbing since I love bannanas...

Another one for the rotting banana, which I have no idea what that is. Otherwise, I made the mistake of searching for reviews on that Cindy Crawford Meaningful Beauty stuff to see if it was worth a darn, and now that's all I see. That, Jillian Michaels, and rotting bananas. I miss Firefox, but they did something to it and it completely crapped out, so here am with Chrome and rotting bananas.
