Confused with my eating/exercising

Ok, so MFP says that I should consume about 1400 calories a day. So every day I eat around 1300-1400 calories depending on my day, but then I work out, so it provides me to eat an extra 600 calories since I lost it by working out. Do I need to eat those calories back in order to stay around 1400? But if I do, then I don't see the point in working out if I have to eat them back. I'm confused ):
