Blow my Calories on Indian Food!

Ok. I have 1300 calories left to blow today. I have been craving Indian Food like a mofo. I am also being lazy and don't feel like cooking. Please reply with your suggestions below.

    Chicken Saag, Chicken Vindaloo, curry, some pekora, naan, indian spiced tea...great, now I want Indian food too >_<

    Most Indian food can be low calorie, just cook it yourself, go light on the oil and not too much rice or bread with it.

    Do you want food suggestions as in what to get, or suggestions as to how to quell your craving?

    Assuming you have an Indian restaurant near you and want suggestions on what to order ...Paneer Saag (excuse all spelling errors!) is my fave, but anything with Saag with have lots of spinach at least. I'd go rice instead of naan, since rice is less processed and easier to measure. There's gotta be a large variant between sizes of naan, but a cup of cooked rice is a cup of cooked rice (and you might want to add a tablespoon or so of butter to that). OR...tandoori chicken is just roasted/grilled. There are lots of healthy-ish options. I don't imagine raita to have a lot of calories, since it's close to tzaziki.

    Most grocery stores probably have some kind of frozen Indian food, at least near me, they do. Or pick up a simmering sauce at the grocery and buy chicken and rice. Voila.

    Don't want to cook ? Not sure sure what to tell you. But, I've taken some Dahl recipes and made them healthier and simplified for the ingredients that I have available. Not difficult to throw together a lentil stew that helps keep me away from the Indian Buffet...

    Yeah total take out. I'm thinking the paneer sang is a good idea. I'm also sort of thinking some lamb vindaloo but I'm pretty sure that's just monstrous on caloric intake.

    Nah, I'm not quelling this one! Today is a give in day.

    If you want indian and cba cooking, get a ready meal from the supermarket and microwave. They usually taste pretty good, and you'll know exactly how many cals are in them! Take away Indian food is a calorie loaded mystery to me...

    oh yeah, plus supermarket portions are smaller and lower cal!

    Hah, I'm a total luddite but I don't own a microwave! Old one broke and I just realized I almost never used the thing, and what I did use it for was amazingly bad for me anyhow. Electric Kettle for hot water is faster anyhow.

    Vindaloo, yes! Google Marvelously Mundane potato tofu vindaloo. He has an absolutely terrific recipe. Soooo good!

    The tandoori stuff is pretty healthy but with your cals you could spring for one with a sauce and some naan. I don't suppose you're in n cal, went to an organic ndian restaurant in Berkeley with brown rice and a lot less oils used. It was fantastic!
