Im am on medications that says it could make you gain weight, which it has. I am also trying out different medications which is throwing my appetite all over the place. How do you lose weight when meds you absolutely need to take makes you gain weight and keep it on?

Try approaching this differently. Instead of trying to lose weight, try to become as healthy as you can. That means trying to lose weight by having a calorie deficit each day (following MFP guidelines is good), and exercising- both cardio and weight training. You may find that the weight comes off more slowly than it would if you weren't on the meds, but my guess is you will start losing.

That is what I am doing! My heart meds and insulin all make weight loss so difficult. My goal in this is to work my way off the meds (or get them as low dosage as I can). Its working too. I am down to 30 units of lantus twice daily from 50 units.

I go with what the others have said. You don't really have much choice, your health is so important.

Eat good foods, lots of fruit and veg. Cut out takeaways and junk. Log everything. Do your exercise and log that too.

There is not much more you can do than that, however, you will be giving yourself the best possible chance.

Hoping all is okay with you xxx
