Day 1 - December 11, 2011 - 298lbs - Size 24 (which was super tight)
After 4 weeks - 13lbs down but no size difference
8 weeks - 25lbs down - size 20
10 weeks - 29lbs down
12 weeks - Forgot what I weighed then but I was a size 18
14 weeks - 46lbs down - Size 18, but a little loose
16 weeks - 52lbs down - Size 16
Was able to get on a bike today without being terrified of losing my balance or being thrown off because I was so big before.
And another face shot since I posted one from half way through.
So there ya go. Yay!

Thanks, my dear! It might sound silly... but the thing I'm most proud of today is getting on that bike. I have NEVER been on a street bike before. Only a Harley. Once. When I was like... 12 years old or something. I got on it today and was nervous at first but once it didn't fall, I just held onto my friend and rode around on the back like it was nothing. It was so fun... and now I want to get my own bike this year rofl0

Great job! You look amazing!0

you're my motivation for today - we were almost the same size and are losing at about the same rate. I'm at 47 now. I need to get back to it with more consistency. And I need to pick up my weights again.
Great work!0 -

wow your loss amazing !!!!! in every photo you look more and more confident !!
I really, truly am more confident every day. That's why I had the balls to get on the R1 today. I had always said no to getting on it because I was so afraid... either that I would make us crash due to my weight or that people would judge me for being a fat chick on the back of a motorcycle. I woke up this morning and texted my friend telling her to just bring her fastest bike and we'd take that instead of my car. All she did was laugh (a lot) and make sure I was being serious.
I've also gotten a huge boost recently because I can fit into 90% of my old clothes from before I got married... AND I'm like 15lbs heavier now... but a little smaller. Lifting weights really does work.
OOOOOOOOOOO I can also finally use my tiny amount SWAT training and have it work instead of being all girly and wimpy and not being able to pin a man down. My buddy kept talking smack during Halo the other day (again, something new because I've always sucked so bad at video games that I didn't want to ever try) and I finally killed him so hard... so I told him to, "Suck it." He said, "Whatcha gonna do about it? NOTHING! That's what!" I poked his face, he sorta pulled my hair, I slapped his arm, he reached up to slap the back of my head... then he was on the floor on his stomach wondering what happened so fast.
^^^^ All that was done in jest lol. We were joking the whole time and I didn't do anything that would have really hurt him... although I'm apparently stronger than him because he couldn't get up until I let go. I promise that my friends don't beat me haha0 -
Impressive. How are you doing it?
Basically I've been working in getting proper nutrition as well as counting calories. Lots of protein, lots of water.
I also usually do 45 minutes of weights and calisthenics 6 days a week. (day 1 arms and back, day 2 legs and butt, day 3 abs. Repeat then take an off day) I also run 3-5 days a week. That ranges anywhere from 1.5 miles to 3.7 miles but I haven't gone more than 45 minutes per run yet. I have a shin splint healing in my left leg right now so I've been taking that part easy.
Sometimes instead of running I do an hour on the stationary bike doing 9mph for 45 seconds and then as fast as I can go (usually 15.5mph now) for 15 seconds every minute the whole time besides a 5 minute steady 8mph warm up. I've thrown in tae bo, kickboxing, yoga and the biggest loser workout for the kinect randomly too.
I've slacked the last week because I had a head cold and was pretty stressed out between school crap and life crap but I've stayed under my calories still. Been walking every day and doing a few exercises but haven't really counted it since it was so slow and not more than 20 minutes.
The BIGGEST thing is staying dedicated. I have a wonderful support system so that helps a lot too. But being about to totally change my attitude in life has made the biggest difference. I'm recovering from binge eating disorder and bulimia so that's a hard part too and I'm in therapy every two weeks for that. I haven't had an issue with purging in well over a year but the binging and over eating was there till the 2nd day I started using MFP.
I push myself every day. Whether it's just working out or doing something I didn't think I could do. I want to find out what my physical and mental limits are... then get to them... then break beyond them. I figure that I'm a human being. Scuba divers are human beings. So are astronauts, Kings, Queens, theoretical physicists... they're all basically physically built with the same basic anatomy. If they can do all this cool *kitten* ****... why is it that the greater part of my (almost) 25 years on this planet have been spent on the couch? SCREW THAT! I want to do cool *kitten* **** too and there is absolutely no reason why I can't. All I have to do is dedicate myself to becoming physically and mentally fit enough to peruse and persevere any goal I have... especially those that I never once thought possible before December.0 -
