    Don't feel bad.

I just came from the grocery store with one of those ready roasted chickens. It was sort of planned. I've been on a protien deficit since yesterday and I was making up for it. Had lots of calories left, too.

I weighed it before I ate and weighed it again afterward. You just don't want to know! :)

    We all slip...

I find it's helpful to memorize that "yucky" feeling and remember it next time you want to eat junk. My downfall is potato chips, and the last time I had some (OK, too many) I felt so nasty...This sort of helps me not want them anymore, or at least helps to control my portion.

The main thing is to try to stay within the calories, I think. Nobody eats "perfect" food all the time.

Yeah, no biggie. It's about balance, right? Nobody eats perfectly all the time.

We all slip Steve-o... I joined in on the "cheat" day with you but I had tons more and I went over in EVERYTHING.

I'll tell you what I had so you can feel better about what you eat. Ready?!...

hot dog on a bun w/ cheese & ketchup
2-3 slices of Little Ceasar's pizza
    hot chocolate
    piece of banana nut bread

This was all in a 3 hour period.... so there you go.

Maybe it's the full moon because I had another crummy day today too. Yeah, let's blame it on the moon! Seriously, Steve, everyone told me what I will tell you - don't stress about it and start over tomorrow. Plus, next time just remember how crummy it made you feel! I did do better than yesterday (not GREAT, but a little better) because I could stop myself by thinking about how yucky I felt.

Oh, oh, you guys will be glad to know that this full moon is the closest to earth in .....--awhile-- (it was on the news) - the full moon is actually 14% LARGER than it normally is. The weather is perfect here, and it is BEAUTIFUL. I took a 67 min walk just now. Just awesome. Get out there and work off those calories - take the kids, it's educational.

It's crappy over here.. rainy & cold.

I had a crappy day yesterday but I feel lots better today.
I'll be kinda busy today w/ the kids so I'm not going to have time to screw up.

The weather is gorgeous (I am near cm). Today I am back on track, I will start with AM workouts at the gym and then a few of us are going tonight to a haunted corn maze with our kids. I will be too busy either screaming or freezing to munch out.

    Everyone have a fabulous weekend!

you know you have to give in sometimes or you wil go crazy. just keep an eye on your calories and add a little exercise if you go over.
  • Ive been bad today too, it was someone birthday at work and the chocolate cake was to die for!!! i only had a small piece, but i did do a 30 min walk i think that helped??
  • For me as long as I dont go over any goals (cals, fat, carbs) I call it a good day. Ive had McDs and whatnot its just the other meals have to be trimmed accordingly. Beer and McDs are my hardest to quit.

no such thing as a mistake...only lessons we haven't yet learned...

Think of it as a miss take...

I love quotes, lol...they can be great for any occasion.

Im just proud of you for stopping at one piece of the fried chicken. that in itself is one heck of a great accomplishment. The fact that you had the green beans and not say, mashed potatoes and gravy, or french fries.

Here in Canada, it is sad to say but our restaurants don't have as many healthy choices as i noticed the American restaurants have. I loved being able to choose two or more sides of veggies when i was visiting my aunt. Here you might be able to substitute a salad. And most times that choice is, potato, macaroni, or cole slaw...all with tons of mayo. That can get boring.
Thing is you have to be able to mix it up a bit, keep it interesting. there are times when my hubby and i go out to eat just cause we need to get out of the house. We need to make good choices when eating out. The first good choice is to not eat the huge portions we are given.

I really can't eat anything fried anymore or I get sick to my stomach. But if I have a grilled chicken sandwich from McD"s it's not too bad. I haven't had one in a long time though. The funny part is i was a manager at McD's for 8 years and ate their food everyday during that time. As long as I ran (emphasize ran) for drive thru I never gained weight while working there. I moved more there than I did after I finished working there. Now I never even look at it when I drive by.

    tdroseler,

I'm unemployed : but I spent many years in the restaurant business. I am always on the lookout for business opportunities. Man, if I could - I'd find a way to open a healthy restaurant in your area! I'll bet you are a good cook! (I'm not.) But I'm great with people - customer service all my working life. I'll help! I've got a passport!

    Dream BIG!
