Make a list of your goals. Make a list your success so far.
Here are mine:
Goals Ive met:
299: 4-1-11 Under 300
277: 1/4 of weight lost.
275: 6-11-11 (50lbs off Highest weight; weight I got to w/out trying n 09).
269: 7-13-11 Under 100lbs left to loose (99lbs to go).
260: 8-11-11 Last/only time I dieted in i think 2005-ish. 290 to 260.
250: 9-13-11 Actually be the weight on my drivers license.
242: 10-20-11 1/2 weight lost.
240: 10-25-11 High School Weight.
225: 1-27-12 100lbs lost off Highest Weight
213.5: 3-23-12 100lbs lost since start date
Upcoming Goals:
209: obese to overweight.
206: 3/4 of weight lost
199: One-derland
198: 6th grade weight
177: Weigh to get into Navy
174: Overweight to Healthy.
Goal:170-160
Keeping your goals on your mind at all times, and how far youve come, will keep your motivation up. Having a long list of goals (not just a final goal weight goal), will give you goals you can easily reach. It can be a list like mine where I have specific goals with reasons behind them, or you could have a goal list that is simply "weight 250, 240, 230..." an every 10lb goal. You could even have rewards behind them--like get to 225 and you get to get a manicure--something you wouldnt normally do for yourself. Or things like a massage, a new dress/outfit, a tattoo or going to a concert...anything.. that isnt food related.1 -
