I recently posted a thread about how to know if you are overtraining... I have been working out every day for the past 5 weeks, and have lost 13 lbs in the process, while gaining definition, not loosing it. I listed my routine which consisted of high intensity cardio and strength training, switching up every day etc... Anyway, everyone told me I needed a rest day... Some people listed the symptoms of overtraining for me, and the thing is, I haven't felt NOT ONE of those symptoms.... I've been feeling great, best I have felt in a long time.....

Today would have been my rest day normally. I am thinking this morning of taking an "Active Rest".... Of doing a low intensity 3 Mile "Walk Away The Pounds w/ Leslie Sansone" video, then the low intensity 20 minute core work I would have normally done following the Turbo Fire 45 Class I have been doing on Sundays.. Though truthfully I am feeling really guilty about even thinking about not doing the high intensity!

I have been making such progress... do I really want to take an active rest day?? Maybe it would be best for my body, even if I cannot feel any symptoms of overworking... But what if I am just being paranoid because of the response to my thread?

Ugh.... it's almost workout time and I am feeling extremely torn..... :(

I think you should do what feels right to you; you can always listen to other people's opinions, but you don't have to substitute theirs for yours. If it's going, go for it. Listen to your body.

I meant to say if it's working, go for it.

I would do what you think is good for you. You could opt for maybe half the time you do normally.
