Not so new...

I've been on MFP for about 6 months now, I believe. My weight has fluctuated a great deal. I've lost and kept off about 10lbs.
I was always pretty thin throughout high school. Had some health issues, that I believe is where the weight gain can be contributed from. Husband and I had been trying to conceive for quite some time with no luck, with and without the help of doctors and fertility treatments. We are now putting our energy into planning for our new home and getting healthy! I will be making a dr appointment in the coming weeks to discuss some of these issues.
I find myself slacking pretty bad...with both diet and exercise. I don't eat the way I should and I definitely don't get my work outs in. I know how bad I want this, I just lack motivation. I thought wanting this would be enough motivation. I have this app downloaded on my phone and I still find myself not logging in but maybe once per week.
When I get to counting my calories and watching my portions I can keep it up, and I feel really proud of myself but then all it takes is one slip up and it takes months to get back into gear. As of today, I'm trying to cut down on my pop (or soda...depending on where you're from) intake. I am doing some traveling later this week and I'm worried this will pose some problems in my attempt at healthy eating again. I need encouragement and motivation, and maybe some more friends to give me that extra push. I have a very supportive and loving husband who is always there when I need him. However, it adds difficulty since he is trying to gain some weight and I am trying to lose. lol. We both have to support each other.
Additional friends along with any tips and advice are always welcomed.

Welcome Back! You can add me as a friend and we can support each other!
You have to really want this to make this happen. It isn't a diet. It is a life style. Don't be hard on yourself! If you mess up...keep on going. Just like you are doing! I really think that the support communities on here are amazing and really make a difference.
I have been on and off using MFP for over a year. The difference this time. Is that I really want this change. I can feel it! It is different. So search deep inside of yourself and really figure out what motivates you. I know that we can do this! We can do this! I've got your back!0 -
Im impressed you want to make the change, if your prepared to make an effort then I'll put my hand up and say hey I'll walk this road with you(:
It's not a sprint it's a marathon and the biggest steps are started with the smallest changes
Your a soda fan so try swapping full strength for the diet stuff, I only drink coke zero these days or diet gingerbeer cat stand the taste of full strength,
When I first started loggig food I was writing it down an I was embarrassed about who saw me doing it
So I started logging breakfast
I ran for 20mins last week, at the beginning I couldn't even walk at 5kmh on the treadmill, I was flat out walking at 4kmh but bit by bit try by try i got there.
If you want it an you want it enough to work at it, there's no reason why you can't be 'healthy'(:0
