I'm asking this for my husband who is also on MFP but doesn't post/access the community section.
Thanks!

Shooting for 36", but we'll see when I get there. I wore 34" when I was living at the gym in my 20's, but that seem's a bit unrealistic 30years later. Of course I wouldn't have said a year ago losing weight was going to be easy, but although it/s been a slow loss, it's been steady. Good luck to you and your hubby.

My 38" pants are starting to get loose, but I'm not ready for 36" yet. Ultimately, I'd love to fit into 34"ers.

When I started MFP my 40 inch waist pants were a little snug but are now loose. Would like to get back to a 36 like I was 18 years ago (I'm 36 now) but will accept a 38 waist if I've got myself nicely toned up and they fit right.

was a 42" when I started, now just below 38's, they are loose, striving for 36, but would truly love to be a 34, just not sure if I could honestly maintain that size waist.

Was a 36T (T = Tight, ready for a 38), now a comfortable 34. Short term goal of 32. Long term goal of 30 or maybe 28. We'll see when I get there.

Started @ 6'3" wearing a relatively tigt 48. Currently 44/46. I think my goal is about 36/38 Depends on how I look and feel and my BMI when I get there.

I started at a 50, just bought 2 pair of 38's. With 29 lbs. to go to my initial goal weight I am guessing I will be a 34? Whatever it is I will be extremely happy with it!

I was a 40+ to start, was shooting for a 34" but I tried on an old pair the other day and they did fit, so with 20 lbs still to lose, mostly around the middle I might be shooting for a 32". Quite a bit does depend on the brand though as I read many manufacturers have been increasing the waistline size but keeping the same number to compensate for a general increase in waistlines.

I would lover to get to a 32 (what I was when I was about 16 years old), but 36 might be more realistic! I'm now 45 years old with a 38/39 girth.

Figure I will end up wearing 32's. Ditched the 36's about ten pounds ago and the 34's are fairly loose now. Since I am 6'3' anytime I get under 200lbs 32's fit comfortably.
