what about celery?
golden showers?
My cardiologist said celery has negative calories as it takes more calories to chew it than it actually has. I don't know if it burns fat but it burns calories.0 -

Celery is the almighty "negative calorie food," so of course it will burn fat.
Golden showers are just a bonus to cleanse yourself from believing in foods burning fat.0 -
The article has a stupid title...it should say "don't eat any of these foods". That's all they are basically saying...but not giving you any healthy alternatives. I think they just want you to see all the ads for crap. Oh and LOL on the chinese take out stir fry being a good option. Please!0

No wonder I haven't been losing weight. I need more diet soda turkey slices in my diet.

Processing of foods requires energy, so technically you can make a case for foods burning fat. In that case, protein rich foods burn the most fat, since protein processing ins the least efficient one in our bodies (compared to fat and sugar processing).
HOWEVER ! In the grand scheme of things, the amount of energy used for food break down is not really significant.0 -

I wrote that as a farce, celery is not a negative calorie food, it has 14 calories/ chopped cup. The number of calories it takes to process food in a day are already considered in you BMR.0 -
The food that burns the most fat is the one you didn't eat. You know, the one you said 'no' to so you could have your caloric deficit for the day. ;-)0

My food burns fat....well...it burns my rear upon exiting, and my rear is fat. Therefore, my food burns fat! You can't argue THAT science!0

I don't know about food burning calories (it seems like that's impossible, since food IS calories), but there are a number of foods that can increase your metabolism (http://ecosalon.com/boost-metabolism/). My favorite of this list are the spicy foods (jalapenos/habanero/curry) and green tea.
As crazy as it sounds, having these foods earlier in the day is much better, since it gives you a bit of a metabolic "jump start." Jalapenos for breakfast!0 -

It takes more calories to digest a stalk of celery than the calories in it that we absorb. But it's still a negligible difference.0 -
Of course foods don't burn fat! UGH the ignorance of people! :explode:
I tell all of those ignorant people that if they need to lose weight, use HCG!0 -

The best thing that I got out of this article was that at the end was a link to fitness apps which reminded me that I've been meaning to download a yoga app. thanks!0
