questions about WHITE cow's milk and working out

Is WHITE cows milk OK to have after a workout? I was thinking about doing a 30 minute run on the spot today and then a 30 minute lower body workout. If I don't do the lower body workout today and only the 30 minutes of cardio, would milk still be OK to have after?
And no, I don't mean skimmed milk/fat free. I'm trying to burn fat but also build muscles. I want to protect the very little muscle I have right now but burn some of this extra flab I have due to being in starvation mode.
I'm going to talk to my Doctor this Wednesday in the morning sometime and see if he can help me get out of this starvation mode, boost my metabolism back up and suggest ways or people to help me build my muscles back up. I lost at Least 15 Lbs of solid strong and lean muscle.
I use to weigh 120 Lbs with MORE Muscle but LESS Fat. Now, I weight 105 Lbs with LESS Muscle but MORE Fat. I actually look bigger (fatter) and I'm pretty weak now. My metabolism has gone Right down and my belly and thighs especially, are getting larger due to the fat gain and fat storage.
I want to workout so I don't risk storing more fat, but would anyone suggest me waiting to workout again till after my visit with the Doctor and see what he says about all this first? I've over exercised in the past few months and not eating right for what I was doing, I broke down a lot of my muscles and slowed my metabolism right down.
This all began in 2009, but got a lot worse in Just past two - three weeks from now.

Do you do any type of weight training? Whole milk is just going to add more bad fats to your body. If you're wanting to build muscle, doing cardio isn't going to help. Get on a weight training schedule with cardio, alternating days and making sure you're not working the same muscles back to back. I would highly recommend a program for you instead of trying to figure out what workouts to do each day. P90X changed my life and gave me the head start I needed.0

I was unaware milk was any other color than white. Are we talking regular old milk, stuff you can buy at any grocery store, or some fancy special milk? I just don't understand what your e concerned about. Milk is safe to drink.
Milk is good for you, if you're concerned about it have something you're not concerned with. A lot of people have a whey protein shake after a workout, and whey is a milk protein if that helps.0 -

Answer to your question:
I haven't been doing much weight training or much working out in general for the past couple weeks, only bits here and there. I only did cardio today but I felt too tired after to do any strength with it and during the run, I had to take an emergency bathroom break....I felt nauseous around 20 minutes through my run on the spot and I think it's because of the Almond Breeze Chocolate drink I had an hour before hand. no, I didn't puke.......... Gross, but being honest.
I made sure I was hydrated but it probably wasn't enough. I didn't eat anything after my run because I don't want to spoil my dinner that's ready soon. Homemade hamburgers and brown beans. I don't like the fact that the buns are white, though....I might just eat the meat and beans and just use a fork. lol I never eat white bread but when we have burgers, they buy white buns....I want to start buying at least whole wheat ones instead.
Anyways, I'm going to the Doctors this Wednesday to find out what exactly is wrong with me and see what he says with what I tell him and blood work he may do.0 -

Chocolate milk tends to have tons of sugar, some brands almost as much sugar as a soda. Chocolate milk should be more of a treat in moderation versus having it after a workout. If you do LOVE the taste of Chocolate Milk I would suggest Muscle Milk Light in the Chocolate Flavor for after a workout. However don't mess with Muscle Milk Light if you ARE NOT conducting any strength training (don't worry you won't get buff on Muscle Milk).
Nutrition after a workout is the most important thing you need. Although some love having a post workout drink (me included) a well balanced meal of low sugar, low fat, protein, and light carbs is vitally important in my opinion.
In short .....1% milk is fine for an after workout drink, however there are tons of better options.0 -
