Anyone using the app and website "Runkeeper"?

So when I walk outside I use the app "Runkeeper" and I'm curious to how many people on MFP use the app!

So any other "Runkeeper" users on here?

I use it! I love it! I don't really ever get on the website from my computer. I just use the app while jogging. I love being able to go where ever and it keeps track of the distance and calories. I also love how every 5 minutes or so it gives you your distance, pace, ect.

I use it! I don't use the app to calculate distance any more, since I got rid of my smartphone. I just use my Garmin Forerunner and then import the data on the website, but I love it! It keeps track of my miles, so I can figure out how many miles I'm putting on my shoes, how my times have improved, and I can keep up with fellow running friends. :)

I've been using the website for a while, enjoy creating routes for my running! Used the app this weekend and liked it, loved the 5 min cues and for the distance / route I used, it was pretty accurate.

I use it, but indirectly... I actually open a kick *kitten* pedometer app and use that. I've got in synced with Runkeeper. And Runkeeper is synced with Fitocracy. So... that's how I get my kick *kitten* pedometer app to sync with my Fitocracy account... leaving me more time to to play. And less time spent logging things.
  • I use a similar app called Endomondo.

Love the app! And it's always withing 20 cals burned from what my HRM says so if I don't have the HRM with me I know that runkeeper will be closer then MFP's estimates!! Great app!

I ocassionally use it for tracking walks and bike rides; however, I hate how long it takes to initialize. I usually don't have the patience to wait 5 minutes for it to find the satellites.

Anyone know if any of the running apps out there can record shorter running intervals? Like if I walk for 2 or 3 minutes than jog for 30-60 seconds? I'm curious about how much actual running I can do during a 5 mile trek.

Or can most of them only give you an average over a greater distance/time?

Sometimes I start endomondo and runkeeper at the same time to see if they tell me the same thing :) Usually they do. Sometimes one or the other flakes out but usually they're pretty accurate to what I know I'm doing walking.

I used iMapMyRun for my marathon and it was pretty accurate! Sometimes I use Run Keeper.

Both are awesome programs...how did we run without these back in the day?!? LOL

I use it and import from my Garmin Forerunner 210 into it. I also use the Shoe Tracker app to track miles on my running shoes since it feeds from Runkeeper.

I've only used MapMyRun. It sounds very similar to Runkeeper. I've only recently started using MapMyRun for GPS tracking and just noticed how it can tell you your pace too. I have yet to try that. If it doesn't work. I'll have to try Runkeeper.

I've been using runkeeper for a little over a year. Just logged my 1000th kilometer with the app on Saturday.
