If I follow the 1200 calories, what is the breakup for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack or is it just to meet the 1200 totals?

Just meet your 1200 total for the daily record0

I try to eat most of my calories in the morning, or at least before dinner, and then have a very small dinner. I do this because I remember reading somewhere that eating a good breakfast jump starts your metabolism and the calories that you eat at night don't get burned off as efficiently because your body is slowing down at that point. Has anyone heard anything similar to this?0

I do the opposite, I like to eat most of my calories at dinner. I usually go about 250 breakfast, 350 lunch and 500 dinner, leaves me a 100 cal snack whenever I need one, plus excercise cals. I work out in the evening so I feel like I need more to eat then0

A doctor once advised that in order to lose weight one should "eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a queen & dinner like a pauper"....that said, I eat most of my calories in the evening.. vee0

Ok....so basically whatever suits each person. I am usually so hungry I could eat 1200 calories before lunch!
My breakup seems to be in the 350 range for breakfast, 450 for lunch and 500 to 600 for supper...hmmmm...that doesn't seem to equal 1200 calories now does it.....perhaps I will have another look at what areas I need to improve!
I watched a show the other day that showed "extra" calories we eat without even thinking twice....tasting the food we are cooking, at least 6 times even though I have not added anything to change the taste, that extra cappuccino during the day to warm you up, licking the spoon clean when I dished up some ice cream for my hubby, that taste of the brownie to make sure it turned out right before serving to company......0 -
Shouldn't the calorie intake be broken down into a 4-5 small meals throughout the day? For Metabolism reasons.0

Supposedly there's no concrete research supporting the idea that eating at night doesn't allow you to digest efficiently, but with that said it makes no sense to me that it could be otherwise. I mean, when you sleep your heart rate slows, which means the amount of blood passing through any part of your body slows. That means there is less blood flowing to absorb nutrients out of your intestines... so how could it be otherwise, you know?
I try to eat about the same at every meal, though normally I just have breakfast, lunch, and then a series of snacks for dinner because I'm normally out with friends in the evening.0 -
It depends if it's a day I exercise or not.
Basically it looks like that:
breakfast 8am: 300-400
snack 10-11am: 150-200
lunch 12-1pm: 400-500
snack 4pm: 150-200
dinner 7-8pm: 200-300
I eat most of my calories in the morning and early afternoon because I'm hungry in the morning after eating little the night before  And of course I think it's healthier
If I'm veeery hungry before going to bad I have sth small like a piece of bread, low fat yogurt or an apple. Do you think it's better to have that late night snack or go to bad starving? I feel it may increase my metabolism a little.0
