Yep you heard me.... when there was a time I was eatling to many now I eat to few. I am eating well balanced meals 3x a day plus 2 snacks and taking vitamins... but with exercise I am finding myself constatly below my caloric intake. My diary is open so feel free to take a look and any advice or ideas would be great. Thanks so much!!1

  • eat eggs instead of egg whites--2 a morning--an extra 100 calories there.

eat 4-6 oz chicken, not 1 oz

use milk for shakes, that's an extra 80 per cup skim

2 oz cheese instead of 1 oz

spread pb on your rice cake

add healthy fat to dinner--olive oil on veggies.

Try adding in another snack or 2...non fat greek yogurt with fresh fruit, apple with string cheese, nuts ( almonds, pistachios, etc...) with a piece of fruit, hard boiled egg with a piece of fruit....

They are all agood mix of protein and carbs...needed to build muscle and endurance...

I eat...pre-work out, postworkout/breakfast, lunch, snack, dinner, snack...

Without looking, I can say add fats. Easiest way to up your calories without adding a lot more food. Olive oil, nuts, 2% or full fat dairy, avocados, etc. It won't mean huge changes in your eating habits either.

I looked at your diary and I think that your shake should be a snack...like for post work out and then an hour or so after that you should have a real meal and that would bring your calories up the where they should be.

OP instead of that shake for dinner, eat something substantial, chicken, fish, veg, potatoes. You will soon get your calories in.
