That's okay Fitgal, here is to a brand new week to tackle our demons.:flowerforyou:
Hang in there, we all have our bad times.0 -
Great job everyone!! :drinker:0
-
double post.
 :laugh:0 -
I've had a few weeks where i gained 1 lb or so.
Next week I would lose 3 lbs.
it averages out.
Congrads everyone.
Just noticed 11 of us together have lost 132 lbs.
That's a person.
:drinker: :drinker: :drinker:0 -
Not much going on here. I still don't have a job though unemployment is kicking in. I drove my car back to my house the other day (illegally of course  ) so now I'm working on the last few things before I can get it inspected.
I just tried to do another day of C25k but my shins are STILL killing me from a week and a half ago. Grrr. I'll have to reclaim my area of the basement that's filled with fake trees and broken tvs so I can do some dvds again.

I feel your pain - really! Been suffering with shin splints myself. Sani posted a link and advice last week which has made a HUGE difference. I can actually walk downstairs without pain rather than oohing and awhing with each step. My 4-year-old was starting to call me Mommy Ooh  Hope yours get better too!0 -

My daughter started back to school and walking her in, one of the mom's who i have not seen in 2 months, said Wow you look awesome. Made my day today!!!! (Of course it helped i was wearing what i like to call my skinny outfit) It makes me look thin.0

That's fantastic! What a great way to start the day.0 -

No worries... I'm in the same boat. At least it isn't 5 pounds, I guess!
But, I weighed today and was down half a pound.
My normal weigh-in is Saturday morning... so... we'll see! What day do you weigh yourself?
Congrats to everyone who lost! :flowerforyou:0 -
So... I went to my doctor for one thing and ended up talking to him about fluid retention, since I've been *really* feeling it lately. He told me that exercise, sodium intake (of course) and even - get this - humidity and certain vitamins can cause you to retain water! :noway:
LOL, it has been especially humid the past few weeks, I've been exercising five days a week, and I'm taking vitamins. At least I'm watching my sodium! Haha. Oh, and I finally sucked it up and bought a bottle of Rhodiola Rosea from GNC... but I haven't really felt any effects from it yet. Hoping!0 -

What are you taking the Rhodiola for?0 -
ok I am a moron - didn't mean to down anyone yesterday by saying oh wow no one gained....I don't know what I looked at but I agree - up 1 down 2 the next week - typical isn't it.
So everyone keep working hard and I am sorry I had my head in my tail!0 -

I used to take it a few years ago... it kind of replaced my coffee addiction. I felt like I had more energy and my mood was better. But, the kind I was taking also had caffeine infused in it, among other things. The kind I bought this week is a pure extract. A friend of mine has been taking some herbs to help with pain and depression associated with having avascular necrosis and he said it took about a month of taking them before he felt results.0 -

I weigh on Tuesdays, so I can check in with you guys. I used to weigh myself every other day, but I've learned not to do that anymore.0 -

I know that Gaia Herbs makes some in capsule formula - not cheap but great stuff! I thought at first that you were taking it for fluid and that was a new one for me. I worked for Gaia about 5 years ago - I love that stuff!0 -

You are not a moron! I am for not exercising as much as I should have. I am going to head out and exercise right now, though.:bigsmile:0 -

I think I also realized that it's the sidewalks that are doing most of the damage, to me. There are so many 'courts' through our neighbor hood so the sidwalks are constantly sloping up and down to meet the street and so I'm not running on a consistant surface. LIke one step is on a completely different level than the next and I think it's just making it a bit too high impact. I think I'm just gonna start running on the side of the road and see if that helps.0 -

Oh man! I never would have thought of that. Do you have access to a level surface somewhere to run?

The blues must be out having a great weekend, no one seems to be chatting today.
Well i have great news! After 5 years of trying I am pregnant with my 2nd child. I am dying to tell people but i am so early we are waiting to tell family and friends, so I decided to tell my on line buddies.
I will probably loose more weight for awhile with the morning sickness. Especially if it is anything like my first pregnancy. That was horrible. I am hoping to only gain 10-20 pounds at the most during the pregnancy. I am going to carefully watch myself and make sure i am doing everything healthy. See you take off 61 pounds and miracles do happen.:happy:0 -

Whoohoo!!! Congrats! :drinker:0 -
Congrats! Just make sure you're eating enough. You're allowed 30lbs of weight gain. Soooo, I'm still sore. Still miserable. Can't exercise:explode:, going over my cals:explode: , gaining weight:explode: and sleeping all the time:explode: So I've been reading the thread, just in no mood to post.
I do want to say a big congrats to all of you though. And RACH! 17 lbs gone since you dumped that guy-see I told ya that was the prob!:glasses: Now if I could only solve my own issues!:frown: Anyway-new start again. Most crap is out of the house now-YES, I ATE IT TO GET RID OF IT-but there will be no more. My youngest is a sugar addict too, but she's athletic and tiny, I told her I just don't want her to have to deal with the issues like I do when I hit 40!:noway: It never stops raining here!:yawn:0 -
Thanks everyone. I am going to work closly with my dr to make sure I am doing everything the right way. This time will hopefully be a lot better, but i am just so tired lately. I am still able to run the 5K next weekend, it will probably take me a little longer though since my endurance is not what it was, but i will finish it.0

Woo Hoo, and congrats! A 5k pregnant is not something I have ever tried, but I sure wouldn't mind trying. Good luck with it and I wish you well with everything. I gained 8 lbs at the beginning of my last pregnancy. I eat when I feel sick. Just take it easy and don't over do. But enjoy!0 -
Hey Blues!!
alapoint - congrats on the pregnancy!! :flowerforyou: I'm pretty close to 61 lbs too, I better watch out!! LOL!! Seriously, though, congrats to you & your family. Take care & keep healthy!
