P90X Recovery Drink

Hi y'all. Just started the P90X program last week, & I was curious as to the recovery drink that they rant & rave about at the end of every workout.

Has anyone tried it? Thoughts about it? Is it worth the money?

I'm contemplating buying it & would love some opinions. :smile:

    It's a waste of money. There is no such thing as the "anabolic window" or anything similar. You're better off getting your nutrients from whole foods. Hit your calories, hit your macros, do work, profit.

    Not worth the money, a recovery drink with a 4:1 carb to pro ratio isn't even needed, unless you just finished a glycogen depleting even and have another shortly upcoming.

    I haven't because I can't justify the sugars in it. Normally after I workout, I go with a protein shake instead. Either a scoop of whey protein with almond/soy milk or if I have more time I will mix the powder with greek yogurt, soy milk and fruit. Honestly, I have been having great results without it.
