hi guys,
just a quick note about me
I have a rare genetic connective tissue disorder which makes daily life a painful struggle and leads me to on occassion become housebound. Although I am aware that it will make no difference to my disorder how much I weigh I am shocked at how big I have got and am fed up of being this way. After many promises by both my GP and specialists to refer me to someone who can help me lose the extra pounds, I am still waiting for an appointment a year later so i figured that there would be no harm in going for it without there help tho the truth be tols i am at a loss at where to start which was kind of the point in being refered in the first place.
I could really do with some advice and friends who can join me on what will be a long journey, heres hoping we make it to the end!

Good luck to you. I do think that weighing too much is just a strain on all of your body and certainly your internal organs so while it might not make your particular disorder better it can surely keep you from developing other disorders/diseases plus I think you can't help but just feel a little better. I am trying to take everything one day at a time but, honestly, i pretty much stink at it ;-) I am just trying to eat a lot healthier by increasing my fiber/fruits/veggies and decreasing my fats/processed foods. Stocking up so I always have something healthy to choose has been a big help to me.
