I'm getting the impression that I am getting on my co-workers and familys nerves. Compleatly unintentional but I can't help it. I've lost enough wt that people are noticing and when they ask I tell them about what I'm doing and others around me get this look on their face. When I order at resturants at lunch time with my co-workers and opt for no cheese and the low fat low cal. choice I get comments like "Well, your such a good girl but I'm eating what I want its Friday." Like its my fault they don't have self control. and its not like I do... I just don't want to have to spend anymore time on the tredmill then I have too. URGGG

Sometimes your co-workers or family may be jealous, or feel guilty because they need to make the changes that they seeing you doing.

I try to make it a rule not to say anything about my diet or exercise unless the other person does it first.

The bottom line--I think--is that you are doing this for YOURSELF. It doesn't matter what your co-workers think or say. Just smile and enjoy your new life.

It is tougher with your familly, but just be honest with them, and try to be considerate of their feelings if they have had trouble with their weight too.

I think jealousy does play a part here. I also think that people expect a magic pill or something...like that's what you're using instead of watching what you eat and exercising.

Pure jealousy. You have to look to see where the comments are coming from.
I doubt this would NOT come from a co-worker who's in good shape eating healthy.

These people have no self control, and don't like to see others succeed.

It's food, Why the hell should they care what your putting in your body.

P.S. Next time a co-worker says something, tell them about the 1000 calories of fat and sugar they are consuming that is going to their a**.

Telling your story around people. That's like everybody telling someone a new story. There's bound to be people around that "already heard it" when a new person asks. Hey, those people you think you might irritate unknowing, they don't have to listen to it the 2nd or 3rd time if they are not interested. Don't let it get to you. Your doing great!

so I will vote for good old fashion GUILT!!!

I walk in the lunch room and my friends turn their styrofoam containers away from me!!

At first it was disconcerting, but then I just walk right over and say Mmmmmm I think I will have that for lunch tomorrow!!! :flowerforyou:

Just know this is for YOU....no one else matters or truly cares in reality.
