Help With Understanding Calorie Intake Please

Ok so im eating about 1300 calories a day and i work off 520 calories a day..i see people on here talking about "eating calories back" im thinking the less i eat and more i burn off the better but i dont understand how this whole calorie intake works please help me understand what ever info you can give me ill appreciate it

the simplest explanation - if you arent eating at least your BMR, which is the amount of calories your body needs just to be alive, then you may lead your body into thinking it is starving and it will eventually slow down your metabolism in order to try and delay dying from starvation.
So, try and eat back your exercise calories and stay above your BMR. There are hundreds of posts on this site about the subject.0 -
That's only true to a certain point. As cara mentioned, you need to eat at least your BMR. If you have your MFP setting correct with your current weight, appropriate activity level, & goal rate of loss, then the numbers it gives you will be reasonably accurate. Enter all of your food & intentional exercise the best you can & you can eat back your calories, especially if you're hungry. But if you're not, eat them back the next day. It's all the same.im thinking the less i eat and more i burn off the better
I don't know your current weight but I'm almost 240 & losing steadily on >2100 calories a day with regular exercise.0
