Took 2 weeks off exercise

So I took 2 weeks off of my exercise. I continued my healthy eating for the most part but I cheated more here and there than usual but maintained my calories so I wouldn't get out of my habit of calorie counting. I was at a plateau and was driving myself nuts with over analyzing it all. So, yesterday was my first workout in 2 weeks and today will start my no cheating eating. LOL Of course, I might have a cheat meal a week, without it I think I would give up. But all in all, I feel pretty good about taking the 2 weeks off but I definately would not recommend it to everyone. It takes a lot of will power and motivation to get back at it. I had to really tell myself, OK Sandy you have had enough of a break now. Get your *kitten* moving before you end up right back where you started. LOL I didn't gain anything during my time off but im sure that it would have been very possible if I really ate what I wanted to. I did however notice my body aching more without the exercise and lazyness creeping up on me. It just showed me that exercise is what my body needs. I feel so much more alive when I exercise! It helps with my stress, my arthritis, and even my replaced acl's. If I sit my bones and joints get stiff and ache so bad. I am glad that I am back at it again!

Exactly the same with me. I continued to cycle every other day for a few minutes to get to the shops etc, and swam for a couple of days on holiday but no gym. Got back to it (gym) yesterday, absolutely killed me and I felt close to fainting but today I feel so much better! Here's to regular exercise :drinker:0

Yeah my doctor always told me exercise would help but the pain I was having made me doubt it. Now I know just how right he was and Im thankful for exercise now. And me taking the time off for 2 weeks was like hitting a reset button on my weightloss. I was on a plateau for what seemed like forever and since my break I've been working out and eating cleaner again and in two weeks have lost 6lbs.0
