So this topic has probably been beat to death but I was in CVS buying something and passed by where they had those cleanse kits. It got me thinking.. It may not remove fat from my body but maybe its a good way to start and give me the umph I need to get up and start going to the gym on a regular basis again. So... have you experienced one? Is one better than another?

Nope. Far better to just eat healthy and drink TONS of water. (Take 1/2 your weight in pounds, and drink that as ounces of water.)
A lot of those cleanses really just flush you out with water, and only purge water weight. Once you stop, the water weight comes right back unless you change your habits for good.0 -
No. The best way to get 'umph' is to eat sensibly, and fire up the ol' will power.0

They are a waste of money. Up your water and fiber intake and that will be a "cleanse". Our body's naturally cleanse and half the stuff on the market is expensive ex-lax0

I agree, they are a waste.0

Thats what I thought but I mean these "big time" trainers have their names and faces on products so I figured it would work. I cant imagine why theyd be branded with a BS product if theyre SO good. Eh.. Thanx!0 -

For the right price, I would endorse just about anything.0 -

Money. People will say a lot for money. I wouldn't count on a cleanse doing much good. There is no quick fix. If there was obesity wouldn't be such a huge problem like it is now.0 -
This is a freebie ********Brian's Surefire Ultimate Cleanse******
All you need is a big bag of dried apricots and lots of water. Eat them Friday evening and I guarantee that after you've spent the weekend on the john you'll be squeaky clean.
Seriously though, save your money. Eat well, drink water, exercise and your body will look after the rest.0 -

money is the root to all evil. Ever see the car commercial with J.Lo driving the fiat?? EVER think she would drive one? And they had a double play her as she drove through the bronx. Her own hometown and she wouldnt be caught dead driving in it. Celebs can be snobs0 -

Ugghhh Will Power I hate that guy!!!0 -
I'm so glad that other people think cleanses are a waste of time. I have a "friend" who has been trying to sell me this cleanse product that she used and is now selling. She has gone so far as to belittle my weight loss and progress and tell me to "get my priorities in order" and forget about doing what I have been doing (eating right and working out) and do the cleanse.
I have done cleanses in the past and while they worked, I gained the weight right back.
Here's to all of us who are doing it the right way!0 -
waste of time!!!! if cleanses really worked, i would be on the cover of vogue italia right now haha. you end up gaining the weight back because its impossible to drink smoothies all day for the rest of your life!
save yourself the money, time, and mental anguish; just eat clean and hit the gym.0 -
I wouldnt buy one but I have been considering doing this. My nutrion instructor told me about one you can make yourself with olive oil and some other stuff that helps not only with cleaning your colon but also with gallstones (if you have them). Most peoples body cleanese themself but if you are a little irregular and feeling bloated it is definatly a good thing to do. Irregularity can lead to colon cancer a cleanse will not hurt! But look on google for homemade recipes with natural ingediants.
Edit: this will not cuse you to lose any fat though, so not ment for weightloss but will make you feel lighter and les bloated0 -

I did the lemon detox one for 14 days and that is the one that got me on the right road to eating health and living a good live. If it was not for doing the lemon detox l would still be smoking and eating **** food.
I do say give it a go as it worked for me and l will stand behind it 100%.0 -
They are just placebos in my opinion. Your body cleanses toxins and the stuff it doesn't want itself anyways. And if it can't throw it out, it definitely won't throw it out if you do a "cleanse" I think.0

Yes, it cleanses your wallet clean! As far as weight loss is concerned, it does absolutely nothing!0

Something that a little extra fibre and water will normally look after. Absent chronic disease (which requires medical attention - not a cleanse) many digestive problems are exacerbated by the incorrect use of laxatives and/or poor dietary habits.Irregularity can lead to colon cancer ............
The only places I've seen supporting that assertion are those in the business of selling cleanses, enemas etc - hardly scientific Perhaps you can offer a reliable source to support this?0
