New on here! ...not sure what I'm doing yet. I want friends?

I'm 18 years old, 5'6 and 155 pounds. I'm trying to get down to 125-128 before I leave for college in August. I just started my (billionth?) weight loss journey today. Hopefully myfitnesspal will be they key to my success!

I'd appreciate any support or guidance you have to offer! :)

hey im jenn.. i was the same way keep trying then give up then trying and give up. if u have n e questions on the site let me know if u need help:D
  • Great idea to lose it before college. Watch out for that Freshman 15 lbs that many people gain their first year away!!
  • I really hope I can avoid that! It would be terrible to lose the weight and then end up gaining it back.

    Hi!
Some advice I have which is similar to advice when doing anything goal oriented-stick with it!!!
Every time I have used MFP I have lost weight...the thing you have to remember is just do it and don't give up!!

it'll be even harder in college! you have MUCH more temptation for eating BADDDD or worse than you have...it's a good idea to start now that way you know you have it in you to do it!!

This is an awesome community full of advice and motivation, you just have to use it!

I added you, let me know if you need anything at all
good luck with your journey :)

I unfortunately feel under the trap of the "freshman 15" when I went to college but I hadn't developed great habits. I was an athlete during high school playing soccer and softball and didn't realize how much all that activity played a part in my being able to eat whatever I wanted and not gain weight.

Joining MFP is going to be a great step in your success. You're already on the right track to developinng habits that will keep you focused while you're in college. I look forward to supporting you through your weight loss journey!
