Hi all,

I just wondered does anyone know a low/no carb option from the Indian takeaway (based in England, UK). Don't get my wrong i never have takeaways but on the odd occasion i did fancy it does anyone have any ideas?

thank you!! i cut out carbs after 4pm so it needs to mainly be meat and veg based! thank you xxx

jalfriezi is tomato based, sagwalla (sp) has tomato and other veggies in, balti is tomato based, not sure of carb values, just know what the sauces are if that's any help
  • Hi

I always have Chicken Shashlick (not sure if spelt right!)

Its dry chicken tikka, with peppers, onions and tomatoes (no sauce) just lovely.

I dont have rice with it, just a big salad and raita
  • How about Bhaigan Bharta? It is eggplant.

Tandoori chicken, chicken tikka or chicken shashlik with salad - all low carb.

Re the egglant aubergine curry, I think it's also spelt Brinjal Bhaji. I often have that with a chicken tikka (dry) starter and yoghurt or chicken shashlik without the sauce. If you want breads then a chapati (120 cals) is a healthier option than a Naan. With rice you could have plain rather than pilau, or just have less. Enjoy!

Brinjal, Bhaigan same thing - like Aubergine and Eggplant
