I am probably a 1/3 now to my ultimate goal..Finally hit the 20 pound mark after working out mostly to TurboFire and ShaunT Rockin Body dvds since November 7. I am 39 and my weight loss has been slow..but I am going to keep on working hard to be in the best shape ever by my 40th birthday. The 20 pounds is actually a 10 year low for me..and yesterday I was at 180.2 ..almost in the 170s range..wow..40s are going to be so much better than the 30s! I got a long way to go, but if it wasn't for MFP I would have never made it here. My best friend, Joey also started MFP in January and she has also now lost 20 pounds and her 10 year low..it is amazing how much it helps to have an accountability partner!

You are my daily inspiration!! Despite the weight not coming off as quickly as you hoped, you have never given up! You have made tremendous life changes and your transformation is incredible already! Can't wait to get to our ultimate goals together.! As Shaun T says -- YOU'RE A ROCK STAR!!!!0

You look great! I agree that the 40's are going to be better than the 30's. I turned 40 in January and a week before my birthday decided to make a change. I found MFP and haven't looked back. I have lost 20lbs at this point and am my lowest weight in 12 years. I'm still pushing to lose another 25 since ideally I would like to be 125ish. Right now I'm just focusing on 10lbs at a time. I have been walking, running and doing the Jillian Michaels dvd's. Good luck with your journey and feel free to send me a friend request if you need extra support & motivation!

You look fantastic! If I had to guess, I would have said you had lost alot more than 20 lbs!! Your shape has really changed. You are more proof that the scale should not be our only indicator of success...
Congratulations on the weight loss, and the amazing transformation. You are an inspiration to me Thank you for sharing.0 -

Congratulations to you! 10 pounds at a time is a great idea. At first I had my goals set to high, thinking i would lose faster than I did. I will send you a friend request. I love having supportive friends on here! Isn't it awesome to be at your lowest weight in 12 years and to think we are fighting off our slowing metabolism that hits in our late 30s! I feel so much better than I have for the past 5-7 years and I plan to keep going. I have been losing only about 1 pound per week, but that is fine..hopefully doing it slow will help me keep it off. MFP has definitely helped me to learn how to make a lifestyle change!0 -
You are looking geat! Please keep up the good work!

Thanks everyone for your positive feedback..especially thinking it looks more than 20 pounds. I will have to say I have lost over 15 inches..4.5 from my waist (thank you Turbo Fire!) and while I don't like the 10 minute solutions dvd workouts the Ab Attack one is awesome..love it for the abs. Also, I am now just starting my 2nd month, Push Phase of ChaLean Xtreme...it is doing wonders for getting rid of inches all over. Love it! And I will have to say Shaun T Rockin Body helped me start to get rid of lower body inches which I didn't see my first few months with the TurboFire..but maybe the TurboFire had to melt off the upper inches first. It is just strange sometimes how we lose our weight. I think hybrid schedule is definitely the way to go! I also changed my eating about 3 weeks ago..seen on Dr Drew Life changes to make your meals around your fruits and vegetables. 1st you choose your veggies, fruits for each meal (keep in mind small meals 6x per day) then add meats, etc. -- it sounds way simple but I did break my plateau with this. For instance..maybe eggs with salsa at 6:30am, 9am would be strawberries, lunch at noon would be cauliflour with ranch and turkey lunch meat with tomatoes and feta cheese rolled in them, 3:00 pm celery with peanut butter, than supper at 6:00 would be green beans, couple of strawberries and some lean meat...I try not to eat after 7pm.. if I do maybe just a couple bites of fruit. I do find that adding a cheat day after 3-4 days of eating real clean like this helps. I know it is different for everyone and there is no exact science. My attitude has been if you hit a plateau...make a change each day until the scale goes down again.0

Wow thats an amazing transformation, well done! Its stories like this one that helps to keep my motivation going! Ive also found my weight loss slow too, I started on here in November and didnt lose anything until the end of December, when I started using exercise DVDs, which is what triggered my weight loss off. Ive lost about 10lb or so. Ive also hit a plateau so I shall try your tips and eat 6 smaller meals. Keep on going, you can so do this! Good luck!0

Great job! Thank you for sharing; it is motivating! Your food plan is very helpful, too. I like the idea of building a meal around the vegetables first. Got me thinking!0
