I'm ~100 pounds overweight, but my gut is the real problem! Aren't there any exercises I can do to help blast away the belly fat?!

Get a Kettle Bell and get the one with a DVD, I got mine with a 7 pounds kettle bell. You need to go slow at first esp if you have never used weights before. It sure is a great workout and you will benefit from it. so good luck and let me know.

Any exercise with cardio is an exercise that will, with proper diet and lower caloric intake, help you lose fat.

You don't get to choose where you lose fat... Sorry

Is the gravitational pull on your planet similar to ours on Earth?

No. Here on Eltar it's different. We're all quite portly. Just look at Zordon.

It's true that everyone carries and loses weight differently.

It's also true that you can't "blast away belly fat". Overall improvements to fitness and your diet will help you lose fat. But not necessarily "belly fat"...just fat fat...

The best way to "blast away bell fat" is to pour flour on your belly and then stand in front of a fan. It is the "blow away diet" Also you could eat 4,000 jelly beans.

My hopes and dreams were also crushed when I learned that you can't really treat just certain areas. BUT if you do ab exercises, then you'll have a nicely toned set of abs to show off once the overall body fat starts to come off so in that sense, you can work on certain areas- it's just part of a larger, longer process.

What ^^ said. I am almost at my goal weight, but have the skinny man's belly. The stomach is often the last place for fat to be lost for various reasons. The fat there protects your innards and is some of the last to go.

If you're quite big it'll shrink with the rest of your body.

So funny that you are asking this, I researched this for about two hours last night! It seems that no you can't really target your stomach to loose your weight in. All I found out is what I already knew is that cardio melts the fat. You do want to work your abs so that once the fat is gone your tummy will look good. Also make sure that you work the inner muscles also not just the outer. Good luck on your journey.
