I can get up at 6 am and work out and work out before bed. I enjoy working out, esp cardio but WHY can I not eat better. I enjoy healthy foods but I am always eating crap and over eating!!! I really need to learn how to do both so my summer clothes will fit.

You can do it! Don't try eliminating all "bad" foods at once, instead you can eat your favorite foods in smaller portions. Working out twice a day is great, and combined with relatively healthy eating the pounds will by flying off before you know it! Take each day one at a time and don't forget to log everything you eat on here. It truly does help. Good luck!0

If your gonna eat bad atleast eat the healthier side of the bad. Instead of a large fry get a small, or try skinny cow candy bars and skinny cow icecream to cut your cravings. Also, you can try those diet pills that cut your cravings. Also, if you eat enough to satisfy you then just step away from the food for a bit. I bet you won't feel as hungry when it's not sitting right in front of you. Another thing I heard people say is sabotage the food. Spill something on it or do something to it that won't make you want to eat it anymore. After a while your appetite will shrink but it won't happen unless you make it happen. Good luck!0

Things I have done that have helped me from eating too much:
1) put the food (fork, spoon, whatever) down while you are chewing and don't pick it up again until you have completely finished that bite
2) take smaller bites
3) drink water inbetween bites and lots inbetween meals
4) have healthy snacks inbetween meals so you aren't starving when you sit down for a meal
5) plan to only eat half of what you order or put on your plate
Hope it helps!0 -
Me, too sweetie. I work out like an animal and LOVVVVEE food. i say, if you are working out and eating what you want and can maintain your weight for a bit- go for it! Don't deprive yourself or feel bad about it. i believe that after a bit of time, the food will kick in. Go with the flow. Stop beating yourself up. No body is perfect and you ARE making yourself stronger and that's what really counts!0

I find portion controlling "bad foods" is good. Also, put in a reward system or a punishment system. "If I eat healthy all day today, I can have dessert at lunch tomorrow." (Dinner desserts are the worst!) or "If I eat dessert, I have to go work it off (caloric equal)before I sleep."
When I eat bad, I find it less damaging to eat the bad food, be satisfied and move on. Lower fat substitutions leave me unsatisfied and gorge more out of frustration and self-loathing. It totally depends on your personality.0 -
I can't get a handle on my cravings unless I drink lots of water. Also, whenever I want something that is unhealthy I say to my self: "Self, are you going to pay money to sabotage your goals? ...when you have perfectly healthy food at home" . I also don't buy anything unhealthy from the grocery store, so I don't have it in the house. I used to grab something unhealthy off the self in the store... then read the nutrient info, then be like "Hell no". I can't go grocery shopping when I am hungry or I make terrible decisions (Or keep it in mind if you are grocery shopping hungry, that you are thinking with your stomach and not your brain).0
