CRYING

I seem to be crying a lot. Has anyone else experienced this. Not because Im sad, just seems like Im more sensitive to everything. Can food change your hormones or something. I was at the grocery store and my 19 yr old son asks " Are you serious, are you going to read every label"? I answered yes!!! I felt great, but I had the urge to cry!!??

Good for you to read every single label.

Depending on what you've changed in your diet and activity level, your body is going through changes. It's conceivable that you may feel some emotional changes as well.

You ought to feel good about reading those labels. Go ahead and cry if you want to.

Can't see your food diary but there's a connection between carbs and mood.

I'm feeling much more emotional too - I'm not usually a downer person but I've had a few sad moments lately. . . weird huh?

Lol! I get like that sometimes, and usually means I'm hungry or about to start my period. Always makes me feel so ridiculous! I just make sure to warn my husband when I feel it coming on.

I have sorted it by introducing nuts as a snack to stop the blood sugar drops. It is amazing how effective they are at combatting the mid morning and afternoon fatigue. way better than bananas or biscuits!
I now love reading the labels and get a realbuzz when I find good and tasty food that is in my calorie goal!

Thanks everybody. I just noticed these feelings. The only changes in my life in the last month has been my eating habits. I appreciate all the input!

I've never actually cried but I do still get times where for a few minutes I get intense negative emotion regarding my choices. Demotivating thoughts, etc...

They pass within a few minutes and I get back to normal. I'd say it happens once every few weeks...though the last time was probably over a month ago.

It's perfectly conceivable that your hormones are being affected. You're making a big change and it emotional just as much as physical. It's good that you can recognize it. Don't let it hold you back.

And if you cry...so what. Cry your heart out and then feel better when you're done. There's nothing wrong with emotion.

It may be depression. If you are crying out of the blue for no reason it can be depression and you can go to the doctor and get pills that may make it worse. I had depression/mood disorder and it took me 20 years to figure out I can't take sugar or caffeine. This includes alcohol too which turns to sugar. Eat lots of salmon and flax seed meal in your diet (Omega fatty acids) and get sublingual B-12 and make sure you're getting all your b vitamins. Get off all sugar and use stevia instead (not a chemical) Good luck, I hope you will try it, it REALLY works.

When I first started controlling my intake, I was snapping at my husband for no reason at all. I got mad instead of sad. I do cry at inspirational things though....so maybe the change of lifestyle does have a major effect.
