I didn't know what section to put this in, so I am going to ask ya'll....
i was just thinking to myself after reading some blogs in the success section.....i have been on here for nearly 60 days, and have only lost 17 lbs. is that in moderation? should i have lost a little bit more within the 60 days? i read most blogs and people post that they have lost 100+ in only a year. i know that they have much more to lose than i do. i am active, and not have necessarily posted my daily activities each day. times are a bit rough for me and eating much healthier foods is a challenge, yet i try my best to stay within calorie goal for the day. i log everything i eat, and don't skimp on it even though i may have gone over my caloric intake for the day. 1200 calories doesn't necessarily seem like a lot, but i am satisfied at the end of the day. i measure and weigh my foods like i always have. so my question to everyone on here is.....what gives?? is paranoia sinking in again? can somebody....anybody give me some good advice!!!

That is actually a very good number. The recommended amount for long-term success is 2 lbs/week. You've been on here about 8 weeks which is right in line with your loss.
Don't compare yourself to other people's results. Be proud of the successes you are having, celebrate that!0 -
17 pounds in 60 days is really good! Generally those with excessive weight & more weight to lose will lose a good chunk fast then it slows down a bit (from what I observed).
Congrats on the success so far and keep doing what you're doing! :flowerforyou:0 -
thank you. i guess i was only looking at the day to day weight loss than looking at the whole picture. i just had it engraved in my mind that i had to lose weight fast. i know, slow and steady. i am not starving myself..and by any means, will never starve myself. i get so scared that i am going to hit a plateau. but i do thank you for the compliments. it really does help ease my mind.0

heck no, 17 lbs is a GREAT number! that's around the max number you should lose (at a rate of 2 lbs a week).
Congrats!!:drinker:0 -
You've done an awesome job so far but I'm sure you'll want to increase your calories. I don't weigh myself because I don't want to get caught up on the numbers. I can tell you what others will more than likely tell you, you are going to need to increase your calories. It's totally your call but 1200 is not a lot of calories...especially if you are exercising. Just a thought and not a criticism. Overall, I think you have done an amazing job!0

60 days = 8 weeks. Very good weight loss averaging 2lbs per week. I suggest track your food daily. It will help you go back and analyze progress when you get stuck. Other than that, just keep plugging away. Good luck0 -
Just look at your ticker, girl! You are almost halfway to your goal! You are doing GREAT!
Congratulations.0 -
You are doing great!! Remember that you didn't put the weight on over night and you won't take it off over night either. Sounds like you are right on track to me. Keep up the great work! You are an inspiration!0

You are doing great ! I have been on here 60 days as well and I work out with a trainer 3 days a week strength training and cardio two days a week, and I am sitting at 12 lbs. Sometimes I get frustrated because it seems like everyone is losing faster than me, but then I think to myself, "hey, it's going down...could be going up...Yikes". Keep the faith, stay the course, you are doing great.0

Great numbers - I have been at it for 90 days and lost 18 - everyone is different but I have heard slower is better because is it helps you to have a more permanent mind set ....0
