    * Bust: Measure around the chest right at the nipple line, but don't pull the tape too tight.
    * Chest: Measure just under your bust
    * Waist: Measure a half-inch above your belly button or at the smallest part of your waist
    * Hips: Place tape measure around the biggest part of your hips
    * Thighs: Measure around the biggest part of each thigh
    * Calves: Measure around the largest part of each calf
    * Upper arm: Measure around the largest part of each arm above the elbow
    * Forearm: Measure around the largest part of the arm below the elbow.

I got this from this article here; there are other tips too:

I actually have a question regarding this too.

WIth the hips... I have nasty love handles. Do I measure around them or below them?

below them because if I'm thinking where your thinking of, your love handles are above the hips.

Actually shape.com has a great description of where to measure also.:drinker:
  • I was told that it doesn't really matter where you are measuring, as long as you are in the area- the key is to make sure you measure the same place on your body everytime. If you are measuing your tummy, and you measure at the belly button, make sure that is where you measure every time. It made sense to me, am I making sense to anyone?
