Can someone please look at my diary?

And help me out, if you can, as to why I keep dilly-dallying around with 3 or 4 pounds? I was losing consistently in the beginning, and now, for the last month or more, my weight loss has stalled. Last week I finally went down 3 pounds, now, this week I am up 3 again.
Mind you, one of my MFP friends suggested that it could be muscle gain as I am now almost finishing the end of Ripped in 30 (I did Week 4 Day 3 today). I suck at taking measurements (honestly) and I don't know if that would be a good measure for me.
I posted a week or two back but got like 3 people responding. I would appreciate anyone's time and knowledge if you could help me out a little. I'm toying with the idea of making sure my net cals are more than 1200, because I did the report for that, and there are SOME days that I am under that.
Thanks everyone for your time.

honestly without looking at ur diary firstly i would say u should have measured. i have hovered around the same few lbs for a bit and then started loosing again and now doin the same BUT my clothes fitted nicely and felt looser even tho weight was up n down, how do ur clothes fit?? Yes muscle does way more then fat so u may find that u have gained muscle weight but will start to see fat loosing results again soon once body has adjusted to having the new muscle. I will have a look at diary tho and come back to u in a bit if helps.0

A quick look at your diary shows me you are not tracking sodium and some of your dietary choices may be high in sodium. I suggest you look to that for a while.0

You're very unlikely to have gained 3 lbs of muscle in a week, particularly eating at a calorie deficit. Assuming your calorie logging and exercise burn estimates are accurate, it won't be 3 lbs of fat either. You could be retaining water from increased or more intense exercising. You could be retaining water from excess sodium consumption. Chances are you will have lost it again by next week. As far as the calorie goal, with only 13lbs to go, you shouldn't be aiming to lose more than about 0.5 lb a week, so you may want to adjust your goal to reflect that.0

Sorry to hear you're going through a plateau. I know how frustrating it is, having been there myself. It's difficult to tell from just your food diary what the full story is, i,e, i don't know what your BMR is etc, but a few things that might help (they seemed to have help me get over my plateau):
1. Weigh and measure EVERYTHING I know that there are certain things I eat regularly and my danger zone is getting blasé about my portions and estimating quantities
2 Check your calorie allowance again, as it may have changed since you started losing weight
3. Try not to eat back your exercise calories
4. My weight loss really boosted (along with my energy) when I cut out wheat. It's worth considering!
5. I actually cut down on really intense exercise and started doing yoga twice a week and walking, with some serious cardio once or twice a week. I think the body can freak out and store energy if you're exercising too hard.
Good luck!0 -
Thank you to all for your thoughts and suggestions.
I did track my sodium up until a couple of weeks ago, when I thought I had a handle on it. I try not to watch that, as yes, I can retain water a bit. I might have had one bad day this week with it. I changed from tracking sodium as I thought I had a handle on it...maybe I will look at it again.
I have readjusted the calorie intake since losing weight, and it did go down slightly, but maybe I will change it to reflect a 0.5 pound loss a week.
I do weigh and measure everything. I only recently started eating back some exercise calories, and that is when I lost the 3 pounds in the week prior.
I wouldn't exactly call doing ripped in 30 intense, so I figured it would be ok. lol I am trying to get a lot of walking in where I can.
My clothes fit fine - of course since the start I have changed a bit, am wearing a new size, but now I seem stuck at this size forever. It's just getting frustrating.
Thanks again to everyone.0
