My husband and I are not eating too much meat these days. Any ideas for meatless meals high in protein?

Use most regular ground-beef recipes you have and substitute TVP (textured vegetable protein). All you have to do is soak it in water for a couple of minutes and it's ready to use. It does well in casseroles or pasta sauce -- just don't try to make burgers with it cause it doesn't stick that great. Get the kind that looks like ground beef (they have some that are in chunks and others that look kind of shredded).

Do you still eat cheese, eggs, and milk?

Why do you need high in protein meals? I'm a veggie and get plenty of protein without thinking about it. There are lots of meat substitutes out there if that's what you're going for. I'm not crazy about morningstar farms stuff - too many weird ingredients. As long as you eat whole grains and eat a balanced diet, it shouldn't be a problem. Every almost veggie or veggie should try quinoa. It's a grain - usually only found a health stores.

I'm not a vegetarian but I don't eat very much meat anymore. I love Boca Burgers, Boca Chikn patties, and Morningstar Black Bean Burgers. If you want to make something on your own any kind of bean adds a lot of protein. I make vegetarian black bean chili a lot, with or without Boca ground burger. I also make a lasagna using eggplant and zucchini as the noodle layer, with Boca ground burger. I haven't managed the art of cooking tasty tofu but it adds a lot of protein to a meal if you use it.

Boca has a bunch of recipes on their site http://www.bocaburger.com/recipes.html
