Hi!

Does anyone have tips about how to cope with the compulsion to snack while studying?

I quit smoking last year (Go team me! : D) and have found that I replaced my stress smoke and break smoke with a trip to the fridge. I work full time and do online school and its exam time so life is super not fun. I just can't take any more weight gain! HELP!!

    Hey...I have the same problem.

My solution so far is to have a bowl of nuts beside me; they seem to keep me full and have a good source of protein.

You'd need to factor in the calories though...but it's certainly better than munching on chocolate and crisps and what not!

When I study for long hours at a time, I put myself on a schedule.. If I study for 30-45 minutes then I can take a short break and eat a snack (fruit, PB, crackers, etc) Then I increase the length of studying time before I can have my next snack. I do this so I can eat enough calories for the day and I do this because I use to eat all the time while studying (meals and snacks) so this way I'm controlling how much I'm eating. It seems to help me :)
