Last summer I was at an all time high, 193 lbs. VERY big for me and my frame. I'm a small guy, but happened to be a fat small guy.

I started working out 8x a week rather than 3x, and started eating "better" and counting calories here on MFP.
By 1/1 I had lost 5 entire lbs. (depressing)

So I figured something big had to change. I decided not to eat food that came from factories, but rather from farms. Basically everything that was in a box, can, plastic tube, wrapper.... thrown away. If it doesn't quickly perish, I tossed it.

I turned to - OMG - Fruits, vegetables, lots of protein sources and I eliminated allergic food sources for me. And I ate a LOT of these items.

My workouts stayed pretty much the same as before the holidays, but I switched some high intensity cardio (spin) for heavy weight resistance training)

In 3 months I went from 23.7% body fat (hydrostatically tested) to 11.9%. The man that owns the testing facility could not believe the transformation - nor can my wife. 160lbs, new clothes and awesome blood pressure readings :)

I'm going to stay here on MFP, but am switching my nutrition and workouts to try to build some muscle and strength.

Yes, I have some horrible before pics :) I haven't taken an after other than my face, but will. Can't decide if I am brave enough to go shirtless for the internet - maybe a tight shirt ;) . I'll update this thread when I have something - but I did keep one pair of size 36 pants, just so you can see me wear them - the rest of my fat clothes I threw away.

I see you belong to a primal thread I was checking out too! I am impressed cuz I too have kicked my own @ss doing cardio/weightlifting to lose weight and then gain it all back due to what I believe is from sugar/carb ADDICTION!! My question is, did you slowly wean yourself or just stop cold turkey on the processed JUNK?
You have done an awesome job and ought to be proud!!!

    Cold Turkey.
Cleared the pantry and fridge of "crap" and went to the store because it was empty ;)
I now go to the store every 2 days, but buy just a couple meals.
My health is worth the inconvenience - plus I buy things I'm in the "mood" for.

My horrible before and ok after photos.
From 1/1 to 4/1 I effectively had no muscle mass lost.
I am upping my protein even more and calories higher and increasing my lifting even more in an attempt to put some muscle on this frame. The photo doesn't really show, but I do have "some" definition and am definitely stronger than I was 1/1. Abs cannot be far behind.
