Good day!
My weight is currently 145 lbs. 5'4 in height. My goal weight is 130 lbs. I am now eating 1400 calories/day. Before, Im eating less than 1200 cal and I lost 40 lbs (dec-mar). Will I be gaining weight if I switch to 1400 cal/day since my body is used to intake 1200 cal/day? Thanks!

Yes and No. You have probably hit the dreaded"starvation mode" plateau. Upping calories works but you have to exercise and eat as many as your calories back as you can to achieve your 1400 net and "shock" your system back into weight loss. It will work. It will be slow but you will punch through the plateau and slowly begin losing down to your goal.0

Thank you! Am I going to gain pounds if I dont exercise and eat 1400 cal/day?0 -
It depends on how long you have been on the lower calories and whether that was the appropriate calories in the first place. However, ay gains will be temporary as your body resets to the higher calories. I would recommend that you check out what calorie level you should be on as this is dependent on weight, body fat, height and activity levels. Here are good tools to help:
Calculate your body fat first - http://www.fat2fitradio.com/tools/mbf/
then use it to find your BMR and TDEE - http://www.fat2fitradio.com/tools/bmr0 -

I checked it and it says that I should eat 1850 cal per day.. I think that if I eat 1850 cal per day I will be gaining instead of losing lbs..0 -

The calculations include a deficit - so you will not (as long as your inputs are accurate). I am 5 6" and am on about 2000 a day with very little cardio and I lose weight.0
