I ran in a 10-mile event last weekend after a month long cardio-hiatus due to a new weight lifting program I started. I kept a 9:39/mile pace and never stopped running! I finished in 1 hour 36 minutes and felt amazing! I couldn't do this 80 pounds ago!

Congratulations! I'm betting it felt great when you crossed the finish line.

I just signed up for my first ever 5k (in July) as a motivational goal.

I am using Jamie Eason's Livefit Trainer. I love it. It takes a lot of work, planning, and time, but my results have been worth it. The picture above is from when I was working out at home last year. My arms and back look sooo much better now!

Here's a link to the program:

Thanks everyone for the lovely words of encouragement!

Here's an action shot. You can see my newly earned muscles a bit more here.

I also wanted to add that I am back up to 120+ pounds, but feel so much tighter, my butt went from pancake to perky, and my pants fit looser since I started lifting heavy weights. I don't think about the number on the scale anymore, but focus on the athletic body I am striving towards.

You can do anything you put your mind to!
