Hi all,
I just wanted to share a little of my journey. Stuck on a stupid weight plateau at the moment (stuck in the 179-182 range), and I am taking the suggestion of a friend to look how far I've come, not where I'm stuck. I'm sharing it now to help encourage those of you who are still struggling to keep fighting hard. Don't give up. Just keep going!
This is me in November 2010 at 220+ lbs, 42% body fat on the left. Me at 187 lbs at 31% body fat on the right.
I actually don't know my high weight, only that I started somewhere around 218 to lose. I suspect I was bigger than that at some point but fluctuated down along the way. I avoided the scale like the plague. Also cameras, hence no pics of my body at 220+.
This is me yesterday at 179-182 lbs. (I'm in the middle)
It's taken me a long long time to drop this weight, but I'm not giving up. My goal weight is 164, which will put me at a healthy BMI with a final goal of 150-155 lbs with 19-21% body fat. I'm not terribly far away now (way past half way to healthy). I'm hoping to get there by the end of 2012.
Don't give up folks! I'll never give up even if I get knocked down a few times along the way.
I hope you all have a great weekend!

The funny part about that is that I didn't notice at all. My husband came running into the bedroom today to tell me, "did you see those pics so-and-so put on Facebook yesterday? Your face is sooooo skinny!"
Thank you to you all for your kind words! I really appreciate it. The support I have from my friends here on MFP and those who have supported me along the way is just wonderful. I couldn't be here without it.0 -
You look amazing:-) Keep up all your hard work and thanks for inspiring us. It's great to hear you say, "never give up"... :-)0

Do you have hypothyroidism, by chance? Just asking because it took you so long to drop that weight.0

No, I slipped up a few times along the way.
I also have a heart problem that makes high intensity cardio very difficult. I've had a rough couple of years with my health.0 -
You look fantastic! You should be SO proud of yourself!0

That's how I feel about it too. As long as I'm making some kind of progress in the right direction, then I'm okay. I hate stalling out though... GRRR.0 -
