Thoughts on Testimony on Air Today from Congress

Just got done watching the Gas Hearings on one of the news channels. I now have 3 questions... 1) We really elected these people? (2) Are we really sure they have a college degree? (3) Why does it seem like the year we bail out Chevy and they start designing and building a battery powered car, the gas prices shot out of the sky? My Answers: 1) Apparently we did. (2) I'm not sure if they do, but I know I haven't finished my degree, yet, and I understood the people testifying and didn't have to ask the same question 5 different ways. (3) Sounds plausible. I have even mentioned to my hubby that the price of the car a month would almost equal what we pay in gas a month. >>Government would never force their people to buy a product out of desperation... Wait, they have several times...<<

lol here is an example showing they dont require any kind of degree or basic level of intelligence. Congressman Hank Johnson was concerned that the island of Guam would "tip over" due to over population.

I hear ya!!! I'm in California and I'll be darned if these idiots we elect don't know when to leave things be. I'm sick and tired of paying for everyone elses life; I'm sick and tired of the government control of business; I'm sick and tired of the government treating me like I'm some dumb azz that just woke from coma! This country ran fairly well until we decided that we want to be like Europe (or they decided). Let me decide how I run my life and stay the hell out of it. The word on the map says "America" let it stand.

Oh My Gosh! I had never seen this before. I got to give props to that Admiral. The look on his face was classic. You could see that he wanted to laugh so hard!!! I know as soon as he got out of there and away from the cameras, he fell over laughing at this Congressman.

Seriously?! Any third grade class would laugh that congressman right off the playground. Everyone knows we have Guam, Cuba, Hawaii securely tethered to the mainland so they won't float off.

We are in serious trouble in this country if we don't elect some officials with common sense, a firm grasp of our constitution and obviously at least one foot in reality! :noway:

This Thank you for stating it so well - would you run for CA Congress where I am (SD County)?

Right on! I feel like a hamster on a wheel sometimes. We keep things rolling, no matter how uncomfortable, and yet, have limited say at the end of the day. The decisions being made are not for the benefit of the American People, they are made to line the pockets of everyone at the top. Furthermore, with Obama's recent behavior
    1. Allowing non-American citizens the vote. Hey, would we be allowed to hop in on the politics and elections in any other place, without being a citizen?
    2. http://www.examiner.com/bay-area-moderate-conservative-in-san-francisco/obama-s-outrageous-comments-to-the-supreme-court-justices
I feel like we're taking giant steps towards Socialism...I mean, is this [http://www.lekiosque.fr/article-1120149-Web-savvy-students-slyly-defy-visiting-Medvedev.html ] where it's going to end up?

    The government is ridiculous.

but what's really sad is the amount of people who dont even know the problems we are having with congress!!!! I'm only thirteen years old and the news is the first thing i watch when i go home. I can not wait for reelection, Obama does not need to be running this nation. I cant believe how absurd some of the bills he wants to pass.
