When do you know you need to stop losing weight and start trying to build muscle?

    What is your current routine?

I am sort of in the predicament. I am going to continue to lose weight until after summer (swimsuits ahhh) then start to add muscle and bulk after the summer. I am getting close to underweight so I kind of hit my stopping point here soon for now xD MOAR muscle!

But what I think is best to do is to lift weights, eat moderate macros, and get to a comfortable body fat % first

I weigh 253 and I tell people I need to weigh 229 for the Navy, their response is that I will look like a lollipop. I can see their point, I have the body of a NFL lineman. By that I mean I have a large frame, very broad shoulders and I wear a size 16 shoe! I mean I am not a small guy by any means. I just started the NROL. Mondays: squats - static lunges - two point dumbbell row with arm out - push ups - fitness ball crunches.

I think I knew I needed to stop losing and step up my muscle game when none of my clothes fit anymore.

I've been lifting for the past year, but haven't started doing serious regular lifting until like Nov. of last year.. and while I would still like to lose 10 more pounds, I feel like I'm small enough where I am and just need to strip the fat so the muscle shows a bit more.

General rule of thumb I follow is when you are happy with your weight lose. Others told me that you should hit around 14% Body fat before you start to add muscle slowly.. do what you want. if your happy being your size then start to build muscle.
