How do I know I am burning the correct amount of calories? My HRM always gives me an low number but I work my butt off on completing insanity and turbo fire workouts. What gives?

Does it have a chest strap? Do you wet it first?

That's your problem.. No chest strap. Without a chest strap, it bases the calorie count off when you touch it.. so if you touch it once and it reads 90, it's going to base the calorie count off 90 until you touch it again..and then once it's updated, it will base if off the updated number until you touch it again and so on down the line.

Bottom line, ditch it and get one with a chest strap.. preferably a Polar.
