Working out a pint short

Anyone had any bad experiences with working out after giving blood? Ran 3.5 miles today after giving blood yesterday. I've been drinking craptons of water but I got a wicked headache and feel a bit lethargic. I probably just need to drink more and relax for the day or maybe skip the 3.5 mile run for a couple days.

When I give blood I am down for 2 days....no exercise double the water....this takes a crapload out of you!!!!
BUT - good for you! it's important to donate!!!:flowerforyou:0 -
I give blood every 6-8 weeks. When I donate you actually sign a paper saying not to do strenous activity for the rest of the day, It doesnt say anything about the following day. I've never had any problems with it but I dont run 3-5 miles a day either . . . .0

Yeah your body is having to regenerate new blood cells at a higher rate than normal, so it can take it out of you. If that happens again just drink some juice/eat a little sugar like they tell you to do right after donating and you should be fine!0

I had a bad experience with the giving blood, itself.... does that count?
Let's just say.......... when ya donate, don't do it when you're hot, and don't pump your fist to make it go a lil faster cuz your little kiddos are waiting outside the bus eating too many donuts with friends at church..... :blushing:
That's how you get bold TWO T-SHIRTS.
Took me a couple days to recover - ate more sugar and more protein, red meat..... skipped kickboxing classes for a few nights. :ohwell:
Good for you!!!!! Take it easy for a day or two, you'll be back up to par in NO TIME and someone else will be "back up to par" because of what ya did. :happy:0
