This is my random silliness for this month.
When I feel the need to cheat on my diet (try) to eat a squirrel. The catch is I have to chatch it with my bare hands. To date no squirrels in my belly but the calories burned trying... wow.

No,upstate NY and hunt them in the fall as well as Whitetail deer and rabbits through the winter.
I know it is a thing to some folks and respect that but if one can get past the thought or the fuzzy cartoon picture they are all very good.0 -
Now I feel compelled to see what the calories in squirrel meat are.
Not that I have ever eaten a squirrel or necessarily want to... unless someone wants to cook it for me...
Eww. Gross. Nevermind.

In my neck of the woods kids were getting bitten by the squirrels in the park because they were trying to catch them! haha how crazy is that?! Plus whenever I run or cycle on the bike trail the squirrels DON'T move, I've almost gotten in major collisions haha I don't want to eat squirrel but thanks to you I've lost my appetite to eat anything else

Okay. I have to admit that I, as a child, eaten fried baby rabbit and I LOVED IT! I still remember the taste. Its been a good 35 years since then, though. I also love fried frog legs. Love 'em! :blushing: :blushing:0 -
When I was a cadet (ok, so it was a Canadian thing), we learned how to catch squirrels and chipmunks by laying root snares along a leaning branch to a tree....now, me being a city girl and loving high-heeled shoes...it seems likely that I will ever be put in that dire situation...however...when you need it most, lol....
I have defiantly had moose meat steaks, though...no wonder I don't love meat...0 -
